We're recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global engineering business at the forefront of industrial automation technology.

This is an opportunity to work on the full product lifecycle designing, developing, testing and improving electro-mechanical products used in manufacturing facilities worldwide.

If you enjoy turning concepts into real products, solving engineering challenges and seeing your designs progress from CAD through to production, this could be the role for you.

What You'll Be Doing

Designing mechanical assemblies and automation products using SolidWorks

Creating 3D models, drawings and engineering documentation

Developing prototypes and carrying out product testing

Investigating failures and implementing design improvements

Working with manufacturing teams to bring products into production

Supporting customers and colleagues with technical queries

Producing technical reports, specifications and training materials

Collaborating with international engineering teams on new product development projects

What We're Looking For

Mechanical Design Engineer, Product Design Engineer, Development Engineer or similar

Experience using SolidWorks for mechanical design

Background designing automation equipment, machinery, motion systems or electro-mechanical products

Comfortable building and testing prototypes

Qualifications

HND, HNC or Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
