Children’s Support Worker (Residential Children’s Home) - Near Aberdare, CF44
Vetro Recruitment is seeking Children’s Support Workers for a residential children’s home near Aberdare, CF44. This temporary role offers the chance to support young people with care, structure and emotional wellbeing, working as part of a consistent staff team.

Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people with day-to-day routines, activities and hobbies
- Promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes
- Provide emotional and practical support within the home
- Keep young people safe by following care plans, risk assessments and relevant guidance
- Support young people with behaviours that may be challenging, helping to reduce incidents
- Assist with evenings, weekends, activities and occasional trips (where required)
- Support 2:1 care where required to meet individual needs
About the Residential Setting
- Registered for up to 4 young people
- 6 bedrooms total, including 2 staff rooms (one en-suite)
- 1 bathroom and 1 shower room for young people
- Comfortable communal spaces including a lounge and kitchen/diner, plus extensive grounds
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months' experience supporting children and young people, or in a similar social care setting
- UK driving licence (driver required)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Restraint training (TMVA, PMVA or similar) or willingness to complete a 3-day course
Shift Details and Pay
- Temporary / agency shifts
- Shifts: 08:00-22:00 or 13:00-22:00 (opportunities around Aberdare, CF44)
- Pay rate: £14.24 to £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
