About the role
Solution Architect
Ncounter is supporting a fast-growing technology consultancy that is delivering some of the UK's most innovative projects across Defence and National Security. As the organisation continues to expand, they are looking for an experienced Solution Architect who can shape complex client solutions from concept through to delivery.
This is a customer-facing role where you will take ownership of the overall solution design for high-assurance programmes. Rather than focusing on a single technology, you'll combine bespoke software, AI capabilities, commercial off-the-shelf products, and secure integration approaches into a single, coherent solution that meets demanding operational requirements.
Working closely with Technical Architects, Data Architects, Engineering teams and Delivery Managers, you'll translate client objectives into practical, buildable architectures while maintaining the integrity of the solution as projects evolve. You'll also play an important role in supporting new business opportunities, contributing technical expertise during bids and early engagement activities.
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end solution architecture across complex technology programmes
- Strong client-facing consulting skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience designing solutions that combine bespoke development, commercial technologies, cloud platforms, and emerging AI capabilities
- A collaborative approach, working alongside technical, data and engineering specialists to deliver successful outcomes
- An understanding of secure architecture principles, information assurance, and designing for highly regulated environments
- Experience contributing to bids, technical proposals, or solution shaping activities
- TOGAF, AWS, Azure or similar architecture certifications would be beneficial
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance is essential, with existing SC or DV clearance highly desirable
