About the role

Technical Engineer – Telecommunications

Location: Swindon (near Brinkworth), SN15 5AQ

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.5 hours per week (office-based)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (£673 - £769 per week approx.)

Holiday: 28 days including Bank Holidays + 5 wellbeing days after probation

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience designing cables and power solutions in telecommunications or related sectors
  • Strong knowledge of electrical communications systems and fibre optic technologies
  • Ability to produce technical drawings, work instructions, and electrical designs
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and internal teams
  • Proactive problem solver with attention to detail

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales and customers to develop technical solutions
  • Produce and maintain design documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Provide training and technical guidance to the production team
  • Manage a small technical team and uphold ISO and Health & Safety standards
