Recruiter readability: how your CV reads at first glance.
Recruiter readability is one part of your Free CV Review — how your CV is likely to be read, scanned, and understood in a recruiter's first pass. It isn't a separate service or an automated scan: request the free review and a human reviewer covers readability alongside structure and visibility, with this page telling them where to focus.
01 / How it works
Request your Free CV Review
Use the request form to share your current CV — any common format (DOCX, PDF, plain text) works. Coming from this page tells the reviewer to focus on readability.
We read it like a recruiter would
A human reviewer scans your CV the way a recruiter would in the first 6–8 seconds — looking for clear role positioning, scannable structure, evidence, and signal quality.
You receive clear improvement points
You get a written response with practical recruiter-style observations and the most useful changes to consider next — usually within 1 business day.
02 / What this dimension covers
Recruiter readability is about whether your CV is immediately clear, well-organised, and easy to scan. As part of your Free CV Review, we look at the same signals a recruiter checks in a quick first pass:
- First impression. Does the top of the CV immediately communicate who you are and what role you're targeting?
- Role clarity. Are your job titles, dates, and employers easy to scan without re-reading?
- Section hierarchy. Are key sections (summary, experience, skills, education) ordered and formatted for a quick read?
- Keyword visibility. Are role-relevant terms visible without keyword stuffing?
- ATS-safe readability. Will the CV survive being parsed by standard applicant tracking systems? We comment on readability against common ATS patterns; we do not claim any specific ATS-pass promise.
- Mobile and email readability. Does the CV still read well when previewed in an email client or on a recruiter's phone?
- Evidence strength. Are achievements specific, evidenced, and outcome-led rather than generic responsibility lists?
- Missing recruiter signals. Are there obvious gaps a recruiter would expect to see — and easy fixes to address them?
03 / What you receive
- Recruiter-style visibility observations. A short written summary of how your CV reads at a glance — what stands out, what doesn't, and where the eye gets stuck.
- Key improvement points. A focused list of the specific edits most likely to improve clarity — not a generic CV checklist.
- Practical next-step guidance. Suggested next actions — for example, sections to restructure, lines to rewrite, or evidence to add.
- Optional paid CV rewrite or optimisation later. If you want help applying the changes, Team4Rec offers a paid rewrite service. The free review never requires a paid follow-up.
04 / Honest limits
We're explicit about what this review is and is not:
- Not an algorithmic rating. No number is generated by software on this page. There is no automatic CV score, badge, or pass/fail signal.
- No AI report. A human reviewer reads your CV. The free review is not an AI-generated report.
- No ATS-pass promise. We comment on readability against common ATS patterns; we do not promise any specific applicant tracking system will accept your CV.
- No interview promise. A clearer CV improves your chances of being read carefully — we never promise a specific interview rate or recruiter response.
- We never share your CV or contact anyone for you. Your CV is reviewed only by Team4Rec — never shared with employers, recruiters or third parties. We never contact employers on your behalf, and you complete any application yourself.
05 / FAQ
Is this a separate service from the Free CV Review?
No — recruiter readability is one of the dimensions a reviewer covers in your Free CV Review. Requesting from this page simply tells the reviewer to focus on how your CV reads in the first scan. There is one free review, one request, one written reply.
Is the review really free?
Yes — the Free CV Review is free, including the readability feedback. Team4Rec also offers paid rewrite and optimisation services later if you want help applying the changes, but the free review never requires a paid follow-up.
How long does it take?
We respond within 1 business day in most cases. We don't operate a 24/7 line.
Can you rewrite the CV after the review?
Yes — Team4Rec offers a paid CV rewrite and optimisation service. The Free CV Review is a good starting point for understanding what to change; the rewrite service is optional and never required.
